The conference is jointly sponsored by the Spirit of Liberty and by the Conservative Students for a Better Tomorrow (CSBT).

Spirit of Liberty is a non-profit corporation, organized under the laws of the State of South Carolina for educational purposes pursuant to Section 501 (c)(3) of the IRS code.

Conservative Students for a Better Tomorrow is a student group at Furman University that has opposed the use of student activity fees to promote homosexual entertainment groups that were offensive to Christians and Republicans.


The conference will feature a pannel discussion of the effects of illegal immigration on the United States. These effects will include the impact on crime, national security, the health of the American people as well as the economic impacts.

The master of ceremonies will be Mr. Christopher Mills, CEO of Conservative Students for a Better Tomorrow.

The Moderator will be Spirit of Liberty Executive Director Dean Allen.

The Pannel will include:

Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-Cal.) Who is a leading candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States.

Mr. Roan Garcia-Quintanna, A Cuban immigrant who worked in the Ronald Reagan White House and is a leading anti-illegal immigration activist.

Mr. Jeffrey West, author of the book, THE ALIENATION OF AMERICA:the ultimate betrayal.

Mrs. Elvira Faw, an immigrant from Russia. Mrs. Faw studied law and also taught English at the college level in Moscow, Russia before she immigrated to the United States in 2001.

The conference is open to the public and there is no charge to attend.

Audience members will be allowed to submit written questions that will be read aloud by the moderator.

Spirit of Liberty does not (as a 501 (c)(3) corporation) make political endorsements. Congressman Duncan Hunter has been invited to attend to inform the public on the important issue of immigration. Other Republican and Democrat candidates for President were also invited to participate and did not respond.

Who attended?

    •  Dr. Cort was great, as were Roan and Mr. West. Hunter was disappointingly brief, making it clear he was not about to accept questions. (I wanted to ask him if he'd figured out the NAU was real yet.) He dropped in my view. Now it's Tancredo or Cort or nobody. (Paul has become too much of a blame-America liberal for my support.)
